Lone Grove’s Alli Townley – Presented by Aesthetic Solutions

VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?

Alli: I am a senior at Lone Grove and I play golf.

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?

Alli: I started playing golf when I was in sixth grade and have played ever since. I started because I had quit playing softball and needed something else to do.  My Grumps and Dad both golf so I could spend time with them while I played.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Alli: The teammate that has left the biggest impression on me is Gracie Rutledge. She encourages me and helps me have fun even when I am not playing the best. She has the best heart and is my cheerleader on and off the course.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Alli: My sport has taught me multiple things that I use in everyday life. The biggest thing it has taught me is to take things step by step and just be thankful for everything I get to do. Golf is such a mental sport, you cannot let one bad shot ruin your whole day.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Alli: I am passionate about my sport because God has allowed me to play and share about Him while doing so through my actions and my words towards the girls I play with.

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Alli: “Don’t Quit” is the only thing my grandpa had written in his bible before he passed away. I live by those words now and never give up because that is not something my family does.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Alli: I would go to Broken Bow with my family. We have always gone on fall break and just get away from life and be together. It is one of my favorite times.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Alli: I thank everyone who has supported me and encouraged me through the years I have played. My parents, grandparents, sister, boyfriend, and teammates for always helping me become the best me I can be.

VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?

Alli: I am involved in Student Council, National Honor Society, and Lone Grove First Baptist Church youth, and I am one of the girl’s basketball managers.
