OFFENSE
Madill is stepping onto the field this season with a mix of returning talent and fresh faces, guided by firstyear head coach John Heavner. The Wildcats’ offense will be highlighted by senior tight end Gilberto Grimaldo (6-3, 220, Sr.), who is expected to be a key player. “Gilberto is the heart and soul of our team. Great kid and great leader,” Heavner noted. Standout quarterback Baylor Bond (So.) has a chance to be a three-year starter for Madill. The Wildcats will employ a pro-style offense, aiming to balance the run and pass game. Senior wide receiver Uziel Flores (5-10, 165, Sr.) and offensive guards Deuce Glenn (6-0, 250, Sr.) and Gage Stanley (6-2, 250, Sr.) are also expected to play significant roles. With five returning starters, the Wildcats are poised to improve on last season’s performance.

DEFENSE
The Wildcats’ defense will be built around a 3-4 base, with an emphasis on aggression and physicality. Madill’s defense will be focused on creating pressure and forcing turnovers. Senior middle linebacker
Joel Gonzalez (5-10, 210, Sr.) will be a cornerstone of the defense, bringing experience and leadership.
Uziel Flores will also contribute on defense as a free safety, showcasing his versatility. Defensive end Gilberto Grimaldo will be a key player in the trenches, supported by senior strong safety Christian Robledo (5-10, 160, Sr.). With a solid core of returning players, the Wildcats’ defense aims to be a tough unit to contend with this season. The coaching staff includes Zach Patterson, Ron Robertson, Hunter Bigelow, Austin Pettigrew, DJ Kurtenbach, Donovan Goodno, and Jose Cortez.
