2024 Healdton Football Preview – Presented by Healdton Booster Club

HEALDTON BULLDOGS

Coach: DYLAN TERRY

1-9

OFFENSE

The Healdton Bulldogs are ready to hit the field with a young and promising team. “We have a young up-and-coming team. Our group of young men have made a commitment to being the best they can be, and we are excited about what the future holds for Healdton Football,” head coach Dylan Terry stated. Anchoring the offensive line will be senior Triston Altstatt (6-3, 255, Sr.), who brings size and strength to the trenches. Joining him are returning starters Caleb Smith (6-3, 285, Jr.) and Howard Murray (5-10, 200, Jr.), providing stability and protection. Utilizing a pro-style offense, sophomore quarterback Izaiah Evans (5-11, 170, So.) will lead the charge, supported by standout playmakers Roo Franklin (6-1, 205, Jr.), Hunter Josey (6-0, 230, So.), and others. With five offensive starters returning, the Bulldogs aim to establish a physical presence while maintaining efficiency in the passing game.

DEFENSE

On the defensive side, the Bulldogs will operate from a 4-3 base, ready to stop the run and pressure the passer. “We run a 4-3 defense, but we can align in multiple fronts. We also will run multiple coverages on the back end,” Terry explained. Senior defensive lineman Triston Altstatt leads the charge, supported by Devon Bivens (5-11, 195, Jr.), DJ Mims (5-9, 215, Jr.), and Caleb Smith in the trenches. Angel Vela (5-9, 170, So.) will lead the linebacker charge, disrupting plays and causing chaos for the offense. In the secondary, Roo Franklin and others will provide solid coverage. “We want to stop the run and allow our front four to get after the passer,” Terry said. With five returning starters, the Bulldogs’ defense is prepared to make a statement and set the tone for success.
