Ardmore’s Codi White – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Aesthetics Solutions

Ardmore High School senior Codi White doesn’t just lead on the field—he also carries a sense of responsibility for restoring a proud football legacy. “My goal is to bring back ‘Ardmore Football’ and to show the community our program is one of the best around,” he said with determination. White has taken on the role of team captain this season, a position he approaches with a mixture of leadership and learning. “My role is team captain and to lead the team to the best of my ability. There isn’t a preparation but more a learning experience with each game and how to push the right buttons to get the team to respond,” he explained.

Codi credits his father as the main influence in his football journey. “My dad introduced me to the sport at a young age, and I fell in love with it,” he recalled, adding that his dad’s support and off-season training helped him grow into the athlete he is today. On the field, White looks up to his teammate Javon Singleton, whom he admires for his leadership and team-first mentality.

Despite last season’s challenging 1-9 record, White remains optimistic, especially after a key victory against Altus. “The win over Altus last season gave me hope for the next season,” he said. This year, he and the other captains made it a priority to foster team chemistry. “We have a very young team, so getting good chemistry last season was hard. But this season, the team is really coming together and playing at the best of our ability,” he said.

Favorite teachers for Codi are also his coaches: “Coach Zack Birth, coach Allen Coley, and coach Grant Naylor have taught me that college is more than just football. Higher education should always be my main priority and have a degree will help me the rest of my life.”

Balancing his intense football schedule, Codi also gives back to his community, volunteering at the local soup kitchen and spending time with his loved ones. After high school, White plans to attend college and pursue a degree in finance, while staying open to potential opportunities in college football.

For Codi White, the journey isn’t just about football—it’s about family, faith and community.
