Ardmore’s Ella Moen – Cheer Spotlight – Presented by Aesthetic Solutions Medspa & Wellness Clinic

There is someone in each of our lives that makes an impact on us that helps shape us into the person that we are and will become. Ella Moen is a sophomore at Ardmore High School and she has a few people in her life that fit that bill.

“My biggest influences and role models are my parents,” she said. “They show me the true meaning behind hard work every chance they get. The teacher that has the biggest impact on my life would be my Pre-AP U.S History teacher. Coach Birth believes that his job is not only teaching history, but also helping shape the people his students will become. He teaches us the importance of selflessness and integrity every day.”

At Ardmore, Ella is a member of the golf and pom teams. Outside of sports, she is also involved in Youth and Government, Book Club, Ardmore Youth Leadership, National Honor Society, and she is in the Student Council as the Sophomore Class President. Outside of school, she is involved in the community’s kid’s theater group and takes private piano lessons.

Throughout her career, there have been some memorable moments. But Moen has a couple that stand out as her favorite.

“The highlight moment for golf would be on one of the first rounds of nine I played,” she recalled. “I managed to hit the ball over a tree and onto the green. My highlight moment for pom would be when my team won a state championship.”

Being a part of numerous groups and activities and with being a student, Ella has to work hard to keep everything balanced.
“It takes good time management skills,” she stated. “It’s important to know that after especially busy days there is a time and place to relax and lay back, you can’t be doing that until you’ve done all your homework.”
