Ardmore’s Corbin Orr – Cross Country – Presented by Henry Roberts Express Pharmacy

For most people, the goal in life is to be successful at what they have decided to do. But success is not something that is just handed over, instead, it has to be earned through hard work and determination. Corbin Orr is a sophomore at Ardmore High School and he works hard so that he can reach the goals he has set for himself.

“It takes lots of effort and discipline to be your best,” he said. “One thing that keeps me motivated is when I see others that are better than me, it makes me want to be great.”

Corbin is a sophomore at Ardmore High School, where he is part of the cross country, golf, and track teams. As a student-athlete, Orr knows that it is just as important to work hard in the classroom as it is on his sports.
“Balancing school work and extracurricular activities requires strong time management and discipline,” Orr said. “It’s about creating a schedule that allows enough time for both studying and practicing while also ensuring self-care to avoid burnout.”

Throughout his career, there have been moments that stand out as some of his favorites. But Corbin has one that jumps to mind but he expects there to be more.

“Qualifying for state in cross country has been the highlight of my high school career so far,” Orr said. “But I am ready for many more highlights to come.”

Wearing the Ardmore uniform when he competes is something that Corbin is proud to be able to do and it is not somethng that he takes lightly.

“Representing my school and community means showing our values to our team and showing determination and pride in everything I do,” he said. “I am proud to be a Tiger, as we stand for strength, unity, and excellence in everything we accomplish together.”

Corbin has attended Ardmore Public Schools since he first started school. He says that he is thankful for each of them and the impact they have had on his life.

“I have been at Ardmore since Pre-k,” he said. “I have had many teachers and coaches that have influenced me throughout my life. So it is hard for me to just pick one.”
