PAULS VALLEY LADY PANTHERS

Coach: KAYLA DENTON

2024-25 Record: 13-16

The Pauls Valley Lady Panthers enter the season with excitement and optimism after a productive summer of development and team-building. Under first-year Head Coach Kayla Denton, the team has focused on improving fundamentals, building chemistry, and preparing to compete at a high level. Returning players bring valuable experience from last season, while newcomers add depth, athleticism, and fresh energy. With hard work already evident in offseason practices, the Lady Panthers are ready to showcase their growth and compete together as a cohesive unit.

Junior guard Kate Taylor (5-7, Jr.) is one of the team’s most dynamic players, combining scoring ability with high basketball IQ. Taylor can finish at the rim, knock down shots from distance, and distribute effectively to her teammates. She consistently finds ways to impact the game, whether driving to the basket or creating opportunities for others, and her work ethic sets a standard for the rest of the team.

Senior forward Mati Fishback (5-10, Sr.) provides a strong presence inside with her rebounding, shot-blocking, and ability to finish around the rim. Fishback is also effective in midrange scoring and uses her athleticism to run the floor in transition, giving Pauls Valley an added dimension in both offense and defense. Her experience and leadership make her a key anchor for the team.

Junior point guard Rachel Hamilton (5-8, Jr.) brings playmaking ability and floor leadership, helping orchestrate the offense and keep the team organized. Senior guard Kylene Denton (5-6, Sr.) offers steady backcourt experience, contributing defensively and providing scoring when needed. Junior small forward Mallory Carter (5-7, Jr.) adds versatility and energy, while junior shooting guard Mady Williams (5-6, Jr.) offers perimeter scoring and hustle on both ends.

Freshman forward Jessie Caldwell (5-10, Fr.) showed significant growth over the summer and brings potential to contribute immediately. Caldwell’s rebounding, ability to run the floor, and developing offensive skills give the Lady Panthers valuable depth in the frontcourt.

With a blend of returning experience and young talent, Pauls Valley is positioned to improve on last year’s record. Coach Denton emphasizes teamwork, effort, and smart basketball, fostering an environment where players can continue to grow individually and collectively. If the Lady Panthers maintain their focus, dedication, and trust in one another, this season has the potential to be a breakthrough for the program.
