MADILL WILDCATS
Coach: Kyle Jessie
2024-25 Record: 7-19
The Madill Wildcats enter the 2026 season with renewed energy and optimism as they look to improve on a 7–19 record from last year. Under first-year Head Coach Kyle Jessie, the Wildcats bring back a full complement of eight returning rotation players, giving the team a unique advantage in experience and continuity. While the program is in a rebuilding phase, the mix of seasoned seniors and promising underclassmen provides a foundation to grow into a more competitive squad as the season progresses.
Senior guard Jagger Rogers (6-2, Sr.) leads the Wildcats’ backcourt with a combination of athleticism and scoring ability. A three-level threat, Rogers can score in bunches and looks to cap off his high school career with a strong final season. Alongside him, senior guards Cash Cooper (5-9, Sr.), Sammy Duran (5-8, Sr.), and Adrian Gomez (5-8, Sr.) provide stability, leadership, and versatility in the backcourt. Their experience allows Madill to maintain composure in close games while running the offense efficiently and defending with intensity.
The frontcourt is anchored by junior forward Ryan Anderson (6-2, Jr.), whose size and presence in the paint give the Wildcats a reliable interior option. Sophomore forward Braydon Jowers (6-1, So.) continues to develop his game after a solid freshman campaign, showing athleticism and the potential to become a key contributor on both ends. His growth this season will be a critical component of Madill’s overall improvement.
Junior guard Jaxon Diaz (5-9, Jr.) and sophomore guard Christian Smith (5-9, So.) provide additional depth and energy in the backcourt. Both players bring defensive intensity, quickness, and the ability to push the tempo, creating opportunities for transition scoring and helping balance the rotation.
While last year’s record presented challenges, the Wildcats enter this season with confidence in their returning core. Coach Jessie emphasizes teamwork, effort, and discipline, and the players have responded with a commitment to improving every day in practice. With experience, developing talent, and a focus on fundamentals, the Wildcats are poised to compete at a higher level, gain valuable experience for their underclassmen, and build momentum that can carry them toward a successful season.
