Q&A with Ardmore’s Hayleigh Mitchell – Presented by Ideal Furniture

VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?

Hayleigh: I am a junior at Ardmore High School and I play softball.

VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?

Hayleigh: Being able to start catcher on varsity.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Hayleigh: Liv has left the best impression because no matter the situation she always has a positive attitude and she never gives up.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?

Hayleigh: My favorite part is just being surrounded by all the girls and being supportive of each other all around the school.

VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to?

Hayleigh: I look up to Simone Biles because she’s been an athlete for her whole life and has always pushed herself to be a great athlete.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Hayleigh: My favorite teacher is ninth grade math teacher Mr. McGinness.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Hayleigh: My parents inspire me because they always push me to do my best. 

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Hayleigh: The best advice I’ve received is No matter the day you’ve had to leave it all on the field. 

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Hayleigh: My all time favorite meal is a steak and a loaded baked potato.

Hayleigh: I would like to thank both of my coaches for teaching me and pushing me to always do my best. I also want to thank my Dad and mom for always being my number one supporters and for always being at the games.
