The Ardmore Lady Tigers enter the new season coming off a strong 19–10 campaign, but this year marks a new chapter defined by youth, growth, and resilience. Under Head Coach David Vann, now in his 2nd year leading the program, Ardmore embraces a roster filled with inexperience yet overflowing with effort, passion, and the willingness to fight through challenges together. With the team motto “Team–Family–Believe,” the Lady Tigers are focused on learning the game at a deeper level, improving their basketball IQ, and strengthening the bond that holds them together.
Ardmore’s backcourt is anchored by senior leader Camille Brooks (5-7, Sr.), whose experience and composure provide stability for a young roster. Brooks sets the tone with her work ethic and defensive presence. Alongside her is junior guard Jaslynn Higginbotham (5-5, Jr.), an energetic competitor who brings toughness on both ends of the floor and continues to grow as a versatile scoring option.
A major piece of the Lady Tigers’ future and present is sophomore point guard Ka’lahna Taylor (5-7, So.). Taylor possesses true point guard instincts, showing flashes of high-level shooting, passing, and defensive ability. Though she is just beginning to tap into her potential, her skill set and poise give Ardmore a dynamic floor general with a very high ceiling. Coaches believe that as she matures and gains confidence, she has the tools to become a standout player not only in high school but possibly beyond.
Freshman guards Tiara Laster (5-5, Fr.) and Savannah Jefferson (5-5, Fr.) add youthful energy and depth to the rotation. Both players are learning quickly, bringing hustle, athleticism, and a willingness to compete every day. Their development will play a key role in the team’s long-term progress.
While the Lady Tigers may be young, they possess a fighter’s mentality. This season is centered on growth and learning to play the right way, understanding the game at a higher level, and staying united through every challenge. With their commitment to family, belief, and relentless effort, the Ardmore Lady Tigers are building a foundation that promises a bright future.
