Shepherd Sisemore is in his senior year of high school at Plainview Public Schools. He is a safety and wide receiver for the school’s football team. Throughout his career, he has enjoyed many memorable moments, but he says that there is one that stands out above the rest.
“The highlight of my career would have to be when I had the game winning pick against Pauls Valley,” he said. “It was a really great moment.”
Along with playing sports, Sisemore is also a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the National Honor Society.
The goal of almost every athlete is to be successful. And this is true for Sisemore and he knows what it takes to reach that goal.

“It takes a lot of hard work and concentration to be at your best,” he stated. “One of my biggest motivations is to help the people around me succeed.”
When he is out on the field competing, walking the halls of his school, or out in the community, Shepherd tries his best to be a good person.
“It means a lot to me to represent Plainview,” he said. “Because I know there are kids that look up to me and I want to set a good example.”
There have been numerous people in his life that have had an influence on who he is, but Shepherd has a couple of people that have made a bigger impact.
“One of my biggest role models is coach Growall, our defensive backs coach,” he said. “It is because he always makes sure I’m doing the right thing. Also, my English teacher, Mrs. Jones because she always checks to make sure I’m good.”
The teammates that he competes alongside is a group that Sisemore is thankful for.
“I am proud of my team,” he said. “One of the guys I like practicing against the most is Hudson Hobbs. We always keep each other accountable. Dom Courses is one of the more underrated guys on the team. He is a freshman with a lot of talent but he gets overlooked at times.”
