VYPE: What grade are you in and what clubs and activities are you involved in?
Riley: I am a senior at Ardmore High School. I am the captain of the pom squad, senior class President, Leaflets Vice President, and a member of the National Honor Society and the Student Council.
VYPE: What motivates you?
Riley: I am motivated by my future. I have set goals for myself and will do anything to achieve them.
VYPE: Who are some of your biggest influences or role models?
Riley: My biggest influences are my mom and my coach/dance teacher Emily Orr. They have always pushed me to be the best person and dancer that I can be and have always supported me through the good and tough times.
VYPE: What teacher has had the biggest impact on your life?
Riley: Coach Birth has had the biggest impact on my life as a teacher. He truly cares and loves his students. He not only was a great teacher, but he also has taught me that being a good person is worth more than anything.
VYPE: Who is your favorite person you follow on social media?
Riley: I follow some amazing dance teachers, collegiate dance teams, and dancers. They all have had a positive impact on me and my dancing.
VYPE: What does it take to balance your school work and the activities you are involved in?
Riley: My schedule is very busy and sometimes it can be stressful, but I always try to prioritize the things that are important to me and I am never afraid to ask for help. When I get overwhelmed I remind myself of the goals that I have set for myself.
VYPE: Any other info that you think would be good to know.
Riley: I made the All State team for pom this year which was a big goal of mine,and am on track to be Valedictorian .
VYPE: What does it mean to you to be a leader in your school?
Riley: It means that I am a representative of my school and there is a lot of responsibility that comes with it. It pushes me to set a good example inside and outside of the classroom. It makes me want to be the best version of myself that I can be.
