2025 Plainview Indians Football Preview

PLAINVIEW INDIANS

Coach: SCOTT PRATT

9-2

OFFENSE

The Plainview Indians enter the 2025 season with high expectations under the leadership of veteran coach Scott Pratt, who takes over a program already known for its consistency and success. The reigning OCA Region 6 Coach of the Year brings 30 years of experience, a reputation for discipline and creativity, and a history of playoff success—including three straight quarterfinal appearances. With six returning starters and several high-ceiling underclassmen, the offense has the tools for another explosive year. Senior quarterback Cooper Flowers (6-0, 175, Sr.) is the engine of the unit. A three-year starter, Flowers has already thrown for 3,477 yards and 34 touchdowns with a 63% completion rate over his career. His leadership, toughness, and intelligence—on and off the field—make him the ideal field general. He’s added strength this offseason, which has enhanced his arm talent, and he’s poised for a breakout senior campaign. Running back Matt Chapa (5-8, 170, Sr.) returns to provide a tough, downhill running presence, while sophomore athlete Dom Coursey (6-2, 200, So.) is one of the most exciting young players in the state. At 6’2″, 200 lbs., Coursey has great ball skills, elite athleticism, and is already drawing attention from major college programs. The offensive line is anchored by seniors Ethan Eads (6-0, 210, Jr.) and Tucker Tillison (6-0, 215, Sr.), with sophomore Colt Blackwood (5-9, 240, So.) adding strength and depth up front.

DEFENSE

Plainview’s defense will also bring back six starters and a lot of senior leadership, especially at the linebacker position. Bo Brewster (5-11, 200, Sr.), Devyn Anderson (5-11, 225, Sr.), Noah Enriquez (6-0, 185, Sr.), and Braydon Walden (6-2, 210, Sr.) form a physical, experienced linebacking corps that will be the heart of the defense. These seniors fly to the football and bring toughness to every snap. Up front, junior Jaden Smith (5-11, 165, Jr.) will help clog running lanes, while sophomore defensive back Jhett Frankum (5-9, 185, So.) adds speed and tenacity in the secondary. Dom Coursey is also expected to contribute on both sides of the ball as needed. With a blend of senior leadership, dynamic underclassmen, and a seasoned head coach at the helm, the 2025 Plainview Indians are primed for another deep playoff run—and maybe more.
