HEALDTON BULLDOGS

Coach: MIKE WORSHAM

2024-25 Record: 4-18

A new season brings a sense of optimism to the Bulldogs as they look to rebound from a challenging 4-18 campaign. Returning head coach Mike Worsham, back at the helm after a previous stint with the program, enters the season with renewed energy and a clear vision for improvement. While the team is still finding its identity, Worsham sees a mix of experience, size, and athleticism that could make a noticeable difference this year. The focus will be on growth, chemistry, and maximizing the potential of a roster eager to leave last season behind.

The Bulldogs return several seniors who will be counted on to lead both on and off the court. Kadan White (6-2, Sr.) brings versatility and a scoring touch that can stretch the floor. Alongside him, forwards Roo Franklin (6-1, Sr.) and Lane Miller (6-2, Sr.) provide length, rebounding, and the physicality needed to compete in the paint. Senior post Devin Biven (6-1, Sr.) anchors the interior, giving the Bulldogs presence near the basket on both ends of the floor. Collectively, this senior group offers experience and leadership, helping to guide a team that is still developing its identity.

In the backcourt, juniors Like Puckett (6-0, Jr.), Landon Handke (Jr.), and Jaxon Thompson (5-10, Jr.) will be tasked with running the offense, creating scoring opportunities, and defending against faster opponents. Their ability to handle the ball and make smart decisions will be critical as the Bulldogs push to play a more disciplined, competitive style.

Coach Worsham emphasizes that this season is about more than wins and losses, it’s about building a culture, instilling confidence, and seeing young players grow into larger roles. With a blend of veteran leadership and developing talent, the Bulldogs have the tools to improve significantly from last year.

If the team can harness its size, athleticism, and determination, this could be the start of a turning point for the program. Expectations are higher, effort will be consistent, and the Bulldogs are ready to compete every night. Fans should expect a team that is hungrier, more cohesive, and more competitive than last season, laying the groundwork for sustained success in the years to come.
