ARDMORE TIGERS

Coach: JOSH NEWBY

8-4

Ardmore looks to another competitive season in 2026 with a core that has grown up together, as head coach Josh Newby notes six seniors have started since their freshman year in 2023. Coming off an 8-4 campaign, the Tigers bring back eight offensive starters and eight defensive starters, and the staff is counting on that game experience to show up in close, late-season contests. With veteran leadership and proven playmakers on both sides of the ball, Ardmore expects to stay firmly in the playoff picture.

The Tigers’ offense leans on multiple backs and a physical offensive line. Senior running back Tyson Laster (5-10, 170) gives Ardmore a dynamic option with the ball in his hands. Junior running back Jamane Stubblefield (6-1, 195) is a tough runner after contact and can be dynamic for the Tigers, while seniors Daemon Cohee (5-9, 165) at running back and K’Drien Miller (5-10, 175) at quarterback add depth and balance to the backfield and option attack. Up front, senior linemen Jacoby Jefferson (6-6, 315) and Chenoah Joe (6-1, 315) anchor a big offensive line that will be tasked with creating movement at the point of attack. With eight offensive starters back and multiple three and four-year contributors, Ardmore expects its option game to be efficient and difficult to prepare for.

Defensively, Ardmore lines up in a 4-2-5 and brings back eight starters, giving the Tigers experience at every level of the defense. Junior linebacker Matt Felder (5-10, 190) is a key presence inside, while senior defensive end Marcus Foard (6-0, 215) brings size and pass-rush ability off the edge. Laster is again a headliner at cornerback, where his in-air ball skills and strong technique make him one of the top cover players in the program. Senior corner Kaziah Andrews (6-1, 170) adds length on the perimeter, senior outside linebacker Geno Odom (6-3, 195) gives Ardmore another versatile athlete in the box, and Stubblefield doubles as a nickel safety with excellent instincts and a nose for the ball. Newby praises Laster as a dependable, tough competitor and Stubblefield as a two-way playmaker whose dynamic running and defensive instincts make him a constant factor. With senior leaders like that and an underclassman group that includes sophomore running back/linebacker Da’Rai Washington and safety Clay Newby ready to help, Ardmore believes its experience and physical style can fuel another strong run in 2026.
